Pamela Skillings’s Summary
I am an author, consultant and career coach who walked away from the security of a twelve-year corporate career and a VP job to start my own business in 2005. My company, Skillful Communications, provides consulting and coaching on communication and career development issues for organizations and individuals.
I am also the author of Escape from Corporate America: A Practical Guide to Creating the Career of Your Dreams (Random House, May 2008). The book offers inspiration and advice for corporate professionals who feel stuck in a career rut and seek more fulfilling work and has been featured in The New York Times, Newsweek, Publishers Weekly, and other publications.
As a career coach, I specialize in career change strategies and frequently lead workshops around the country on career topics. I am also a writer and editor for About.com and other publications.
