Shannon is an experience strategy and design professional dedicated to grounding strategy, design creativity, and innovation in a deep understanding of people. Over the past 14 years, she has developed insights, concepts, and designs for products, services, packaging, web sites, web applications, and software applications, for a variety of Fortune 500 and non-profit clients. Areas of expertise include interaction design, information architecture, and qualitative user research methods such as ethnography, participatory design, and usability testing.
Shannon is the principal of Motif, a boutique experience design and strategy firm. Prior to founding Motif, Shannon was the Director of User Experience for the Central Region of Avenue A | Razorfish, and a Designer and Project Manager at E-Lab, a company at the forefront of using ethnographic research for innovation. She has a graduate degree in Interaction Design from Carnegie Mellon University.
