Experienced BACnet Product Developer and Embedded Systems Software Engineer
Birmingham, Alabama Area
I use Extreme Programming and Personal Software Process key practices to develop high quality software. I am an active BACnet standing standards project committee member, participating in several working groups, including Testing (BTL) and Lighting Applications.
I participate in the project planning and estimating, analysis, design, coding, and testing of embedded system products for lighting controls. I developed a lighting controller product line called Synergy while working at Lithonia Lighting. Synergy contained an embedded PC controller and distributed microcontroller input and output modules, and was networked using BACnet. I successfully brought Synergy through the BTL testing process and had Synergy BTL listed.
I wrote an open source BACnet protocol stack. I help maintain the BACnet decoding in Wireshark. I am interested in helping companies develop BACnet devices.
Embedded software developement. BACnet design, development, integration, and consulting. Linux software development. Graphic arts (Inkscape), photography, and image manipulation (GIMP). Technical writing.
