As a recent graduate of Rutgers University, I am looking to start my career in biomedical engineering. My focus was in bioinstrumentation, imaging and computation and I am hoping to put my passion of electronics and technology to use in the medical field.
I have worked as an emergency medical technician, providing both prehospital medicine and trauma life support since 2004. I have seen many diagnostic and life saving procedures and devices and I feel my practical experience in this field will carry over positively into the design and engineering aspect of my career.
I am highly motivated to get started as soon as possible. I am a very hard worker and I work well both with independent projects and group efforts, as I have demonstrated consistently throughout my current job. I intend to carry over all things I have learned, whether they have been through positive or negative experiences, and continue to place education as my highest priority. In a field such as medicine and medical technology where the field changes so rapidly, I feel I have the ability to keep pace and the drive to keep myself up to date with the latest and greatest innovations. I plan on being part of that group of specialists who places new or improved products on the market that better patients' quality of life.
