My motto is KNOW THYSELF as inscribed on the temple doors at Delphi. In my five years of living and studying in Europe, I wanted to understand politics (especially German), literature and cinema (especially French.) At Harvard, I studied comparative religion, social psychology, and did experimental research on self-deception. Then I studied philosophy and threw myself into European cinema in Paris on a Harvard fellowship. My school (where Sartre and Foucault had studied) was stormed, bombed and taken over by militant unemployed French citizens; the films of Ingmar Bergman and Andrei Tarkovsky changed my life. In 2000, I moved to the West Coast. After finishing film school in San Francisco, I moved to LA and worked in entertainment law, story development and sales. Film and digital video is now the world I live and work in -- I am developing new projects in Seattle.
