I am a BAFTA award-winning, Prix Jeunesse International award-winning and Digital EMMY nominated Development Producer (BBC), turned Commissioning Editor (ITV), turned Creative Director at multiplatform content agency, dubz.tv
Having commissioned and produced many engaging digital and interactive experiences around popular TV brands for both the BBC and ITV, my expertise recently led to being invited to judge the following:
- Interactive category, Children’s BAFTA awards in 2008
- Interactive Innovation category, BAFTA Craft awards in 2009
Crossing over from a traditional broadcast background to a boutique, multiplatform content agency is really exciting for me; a true mash-up of people and skills, creating endless possibilities and fresh thinking.

Responsible for commissioning all of ITV’s Interactive TV output (content) across all ITV channels and genres as well as commissioning all in-show interactivity within ITV’s vast stable of entertainment and reality programming.
Worked collaboratively with ITV Channel and Genre controllers as well as independent production companies, external service providers, ITV.com, ITV mobile, Sales and Sponsorship; I identified interactive opportunities within new and returning ITV programmes and commissioned engaging propositions within/around, or at the heart of the programme and/or channel brand.

Accountable for the delivery of BBC Three’s multiplatform re-brand across digital spaces and the implementation and compliance of innovative new services such as simulcasting the channel over the web.
Based on the successful re-brand of BBC Three, I was tasked with strategising and re-launching BBC Vision’s channels portfolio alongside phase two of the BBC Three re-brand.

From developing multiplatform ideas, commissioning creative and boundary-pushing projects, to championing integrated working between TV production and interactive teams within the BBC, my role was essentially focused upon maximising ideas and thrashing out focused, purposeful and engaging propositions for the eager to please and ever demanding 6 -12 year old demographic.
Projects for BBC Children's include the BAFTA award winning and International Interactive EMMY nominated, ‘Level Up’, ‘Do Something Different’ (DSD) and most recently, the BAFTA nominated ‘Me and My Movie’ project.

Jointly accountable for defining the strategy, content and community vision of ICI Campus, UK - Europe’s largest online, pan-European student community (back in 2001). In addition I worked with the executive board to identifying commercial partnerships and offline distribution models for this product.
I also jointly managed a team of student writers and the content slate for the streamed ‘channel’ which was broadcast live 24/7 from the office.

Responsible for delivering premium brand communication to a 12-17 year-old female audience via teen-lifestyle brand, Wowgo.com; creating dynamic endorsed content, commercial interstitial sites and advertorials alongside brands such as Maybelline New York, Sure, Impulse, Orange, and Kellogg’s.

Forward planned and created content for APOLLO Video website; liaised with media partners, film distributors, and in-house design managers to ensure entertaining, informative yet user-friendly review packages and were consistently produced both online and in any offline print.
Additionally, produced copy for elite car brand owner manuals and corporate advertisements in FMCG trade magazines.

Copy writer for children’s LEA funded, curriculum-directed website called CR.ed. Content responsibilities included film, music, fashion and television. I also worked with LEA’s across the country during this time, producing copy for Government Intranet sites.
