Sina Khanifar's Summary

I'm currently taking a break from startups/capitalism to work on political advocacy.

Specific activism projects I've worked on recently:
- Getting a law passed in the US to make cell phone unlocking legal.
- Copyright reform (specifically around §1201 of the Digital Millennium Copyright Act).
- A range of privacy and NSA-related actions, including StopWatching.us, TheDayWeFightBack.org.

As far as startups go, I particularly enjoy working on user experience and interface design, product, distribution and strategy. I also occasionally make small investments in startups, and am an advisor to a couple of other companies. Finally, I also organize the San Francisco Quantified Self Meetup.
