MD & Owner, The Train Chartering Company Ltd

Enthusiasts for the New Age of Rail, Fay Lejeune & I manage Train Chartering, which occupies a small but significant niche in the rail industry - sourcing and supplying passenger trains and private carriages (rail cars) for charter / hire similar to an air charter broker but with intensive project & guest management.
We provide consultancy and advice for:
- potential charter clients;
- those seeking to purchase luxury trains or rail cars;
- train companies wishing to upgrade existing onboard services.
Take the time to enjoy the journey.
This is the new age of rail; I am lucky to be part of the renaissance!
The world's rail industry needs better marketing and commercial skills.
My background merges formal sales training with marketing skills and data analysis which. to date, has served Train Chartering well.
However I am committed to continual learning and to adopting best practices for whatever the future holds for Train Chartering and me.
Rail is the best way to travel on earth, and we are onboard!

And then:
One day, I oversaw two special groups in two adjoining First Class carriages travelling from Paris to London in Eurostar. One was the Rolling Stones & party, and the other a member of an Asian royal family with an entourage.
Within minutes, the two very different groups had intermingled and were having a great time.
On arrival in London, the chauffeurs & security staff had to work hard to separate and guide their charges to the limousines.
The concept of chartering Trains for the fun of it was born!
