I have a long experience in developing enterprise level web applications using Microsoft technologies.
I'm currently Solution Developer at Avanade and I previously I was Chief Software Architect at Calcium Software Ltd in Wellington (NZ) where I lead the development of one of the most innovative integrated mail/web marketing of the market and I designed and lead the development of the CMS that is driving some high traffic websites for Esperia in Milano (Italy).

I'm part of the core team of Subtext, a popular open-source blogging engine written in .NET and at the moment I'm working on the next big feature of the product: the plugin framework
I'm also in charge of the maintenance of the Continuous Integration process.

I ported the products from .NET 1.1 to .NET 2.0, and now I’m designing the next generation of products which will be web-based, with ASP.NET 2.0 and Ajax.
And I’m also responsible for the high level design of all products and I’m setting up an “enterprise level” development, build and testing environment.

I started my professional career in Esperia and I grew with the company, from a startup with 3 people to a big web agency with around 60 people.
At the beginning I was an all round developer/system engineer, but then when the company grew in size I became "only" a developer and later team leader and software architect.
I developed a lot of websites based both on ASP/VB6 and later based on ASP.NET, C#.
I also built the company's CMS platform that is used for all the websites developed, including a big site with more than 1 million visitors a day
