I have more than 15 years working in magazine publishing, and 10 years specifically on photography titles. My specialism is professional photography, particularly the creative and documentary end of the business. I have been editor of BJP for nearly five years, and contribute to Magenta magazine in Toronto and PDN in New York. I also act as a judge and consultant on many photography awards, and visit many folio reviews and festivals around the world each year. I get a kick out of discovering and helping to promote emerging talent, and am actively involved in this area, creating contests such as the Nikon Discoveries, BJP International Photography Award and BJP Project Assistance Award.
For the future, I have set my goals wide of publishing, and have ideas for curating and book publishing within photography. I hope to be co-founding a photo festival in the West Country (UK) next year, and would love to publish my own photo magazine one day in the future.

Editor of the world's longest running photography magazine – a weekly since 1854 that's focused primarily on professional photographers in the UK.
We are owned by Incisive Media, a London-based international publishing company, specialising in financial and legal titles and services.
British Journal of Photography runs weekly news, technical reviews, interviews, portfolios and specialist features. Although UK focused, we run regular features on photographers, festivals and trends from abroad.
I manage all editorial content, together with brand extensions – such as our annual event for young photographers, Vision – online content (www.bjp-online.com), weekly email newsletter, contests and forward strategy.
I am particularly interested in contemporary photography – fine art, documentary, commercial and fashion – and developing new talent.
