My primary interest is in improving the way software is delivered. I take great interest in agile software development methodologies. I am also interested in the social aspects of software development and how it relates to the technical aspects. I started a company, Silver Stripe Software Pvt Ltd, to work further in the area of software delivery.
I've been a developer, tester and project manager (sometimes all at the same time!) in a variety of projects. Have worked in C mostly, with a little bit of Java and Perl at various points. I currently work with Python and Javascript.
I jointly led and managed a team to develop a mobile browser from scratch. The browser was developed in C by a team of 10 developers.
On a personal level, I am interested in expanding the startup and tech ecosystem in India. I've been an organizer in two unconferences, with two more coming up this year. I have a passion for self-organisation and decentralised systems :)
I'm also one of the organizers of Proto.in, a bi-annual event that showcases startup companies to an audience of venture capitalists, technologists and media.
• Python, Django, AJAX, web design, design patterns
• Agile software development (scrum, extreme programming, feature driven development, crystal clear)
• Basic knowledge of usability, UI and interaction design

• Jointly lead and managed a team to develop a web browser for mobile phones. The browser has been successfully ported for multiple customers on different platforms.
• Implemented the browser from scratch in C by a team of 10 developers. Although written in C, the project implements many ideas from OO design and design patterns.
• Designed algorithms for the layout of a web page on the screen and for rendering complex pages on a small screen.
• Introduced agile project methodologies to the company and implemented the Crystal Clear methodology.
• Implemented a test automation framework in Python. The framework allows the browser to be tested using test scripts written in Python
• Designed and implemented an MVC front end for a J2EE application to locate mobile callers on a map.
• Designed and implemented a J2ME application to view multimedia files on the mobile phone. The application uses MIDP 2.0, JSR 75 and JSR 135 APIs
