Shenneth graduated from Howard University in 2006 with a degree in Journalism (Public Relations major and Political Science minor). Shenneth is currently pursing her MBA degree part time at Trinity University in Washington, D.C.
She currently works for the D.C. Public Charter School Board and also serves as a board member of a non-profit organization, Supporting & Inspiring Sisters to Achieve in her hometown, Philadelphia that serves local youth. Shenneth is the co-chair of the Fundraising, Advertising and Marketing Committee. As a co-chair of this committee, Shenneth plans and executes fundraising events, writes marketing materials and does media relations for the organization.
Shenneth previously worked for Hager Sharp, Inc., a Washington, D.C. based Public Relations firm as an Account Assistant. Shenneth worked for the client, the National Diabetes Education Program and her primary tasks were media relations, meeting planning and execution, writing and editing materials as well as managing databases.
Shenneth is the founder of the blog, Small Budget, Big Style, which is a repository of her thoughts and experiences on being fiscally responsible, stylish and learning how to navigate the working world along the way.
Shenneth enjoys spending time with friends and family, reading blogs of all subjects, learning about business and personal finance, traveling, dancing, writing, attending arts and cultural events, and learning more about non-profit management with the goal of one day starting her own non-profit organization.
