I write and speak on matters related to social media.
I am co-author of Naked Conversations, the most popular book on corporate blogging. I co-host WorkFast, a live video show on the future of work that is on FastCompany.TV. I am a senior Fellow to the Society for New Communications Research and serve on the board of directors of YourTrumanShow, an online video startup.
Since writing Naked Conversations with Robert Scoble, I have focused on following social media's impact on both culture and business. I've interviewed people in over 30 countries.
I blog at globalneighbourhoods.com. You can see my photos at http://www.flickr.com/photos/shelisrael and I'm active at Twitter and FriendFeed.
In past life I was a PR consultant for over 20 years working almost exclusively with tech startups. Some of my hits were Sun Microsystems, Creative Labs, Napster, Powerpoint, MapInfo, Virtual Vineyards and quite a few others. Lately, I've started helping larger companies such as SAP, Wells Fargo Bank, CNET and Hitachi Data Systems with social media issues.
I am generally recognized as an expert on social media. I have a great deal of experience with startups and all conceivable communications issues. I'm considered a pretty decent writer and more recently I have been conducting video interviews.
