Healthcare-Related Organization Management Professional, MBA
Greater New York City Area
I have 15 years of comprehensive leadership experience in healthcare-related organizations.
Programmatically, I have designed patient education and adherence programs. I have been a passionate advocate for populations experiencing intergenerational poverty, disparities in health outcomes, and disparities in access to care.
While at the International Association of Physicians in AIDS Care, I had the opportunity to write feature articles on national and international meetings focusing on access-to-care issues for an international audience of researchers, pharmaceutical company leaders, and policy makers. This was at a crucial time when the first HIV antiretrovirals were passing out of Phase III trials and becoming approved by the FDA.
My broad-based management experience, gained as Executive Director of a regional healthcare-related nonprofit, includes supervision of finance, business development, marketing, HR, and administrative functions. I have extensive experience in contract administration, proposal writing, budgeting, cost allocation, program development, and quality improvement. Additionally I was responsible for establishing my organization’s brand through website content, op-ed articles, proposal writing, speeches, and programmatic and fiscal reports to funders.
Having obtained my MBA degree last year, I am now seeking to use my previous healthcare-related experience and skills in marketing, finance, and strategic innovation to shift my career towards healthcare communications and global healthcare.
Disparities in access to health care and health outcomes.
