Web developer role, working with the MS Information Technology Group (ITG) support team. Support and development of internal MS intranet sites. Major responsibility was leading a complete redevelopment of internal MS product distribution system (ProductsWeb), allowing corporate users to select and download software distributions whilst optimising network efficiency. This was developed using VB.NET and ASP.NET, JavaScript, XML/XSL, SQL/ADO.NET. Also worked on UK streaming media showcase site. Skills acquired: OfficeXP, extensive experience with large corporate networks and infrastructure, streaming media services, Windows XP, .NET.

Enhanced 1994 National Hospital and Ambulance performance tables system to cater for new information and export criteria for publication around June 95, using Paradox 4.0 under Windows. Also upgraded a manpower performance monitoring system written in Paradox 4 to Paradox 4.5, adding required enhancements. Maintenance and development work on the main NHS Financial Monitoring System (FMS) for 1995 in Paradox for Windows 5.04 and Excel, linked by ODBC, Visual Basic and OLE automation. Codeveloped new FMS version 2 for 1996, using the same technologies, installed in March. All systems developed and run on a large Novell LAN/WAN linking all NHS regional offices.
