Profile: Dynamic U.S. Military trained intelligence analyst. Passionate activist, speaker and team worker.
As a criminal justice student I am focusing on the need to bring essential public services to the communities of New York City. My professional background in the military and in the corporate settings of private companies, has given me a sense of integrity, discipline and responsibility that will be of value when dealing in sensitive and pressing issues. In the military I finessed my skills in oral presentation, and learned the value of team work. The military also exposed me to many opportunities for communicating essential information with personnel in all levels of management that helped accomplish my unit's goals. It was through these team efforts that we achieved the award of Outstanding Unit for Shaw Air Force Base. My native Spanish speaking skills are in constant used through the community initiatives and political grassroots groups that place me face to face with members of the Puerto Rican community and their concerns. Some of these experiences came during the presidential election while participating in Voter Education and a recent book drive for East Harlem's PS-102 were over five hundred books were collected for the classroom libraries. My dedication to the safety and security of my community is the primary motivator in my public service.
