I misspent my youth by sitting in front of a computer and developing bad posture. The happy side-effect of this is that I have this knack for solving difficult technical problems with wit and aplomb.

I graduated with a degree in Computer Engineering, specialising in Software Engineering. What this really meant was that I spent most of my electives learning that we don't know how to write reliable software.
To counteract this, I went to a lot of trouble to expand my horizons. I read philosophy, anthropology, and sociology. I dabbled in systems administration. And typesetting a newspaper. I met people, had tea, dressed up, dressed down, and threw dinner parties.
