Doug Winnie is currently Group Product Manager of Web Tools, Services and Workflow ensuring Adobe software seamlessly integrates designers and developers within web application development practices. Doug directly manages the teams responsible for managing Dreamweaver, Fireworks, BrowserLab and InContext Editing. In addition, Doug is responsible for workflow and product integration between the tools of the Aobde Flash Platform (Flash Professional, Flash Catalyst, Flash Builder) with design tools in Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, Fireworks, InDesign, and others).
Previously, Doug managed front-end production developers and design teams at DHAP Digital. These teams were responsible for integrating front-end designs with back-end web applications, including the development of code frameworks for interactive web applications. The group’s creative team develops graphic designs and functional wireframes serving client needs while maintaining user-interface and information architecture best practices.
Earlier, Doug provided development and design expertise to the e-learning community, developing interactive applications, instructional design plans and graphic designs for various companies as an independent consultant. In 2001, Doug served as creative strategist for DigitalThink, providing creative direction and vision for various e-learning engagements including Adobe, Marsh, and Citibank.
Doug attended Rutgers and Widener Universities, and received a degree in Communications, with a specialization in marketing, public relations, and interactive design. He also completed post-graduate work in higher education administration at the University of Delaware. In his spare time, Doug is an avid developer - writing, designing and programming interactive games for the web.
