The Governing Board of the San Carlos School District (otherwise known as the School Board) is an elected body of five individuals who each serve a term of four years. I was elected in November 2007.
The School Board is responsible for a number of areas, and along with the Superintendent, forms the "Governance Team" for the School District. The School Board's specific responsibilities include hiring, firing, and reviewing the Superintendent, forming district-level policies, ensuring the financial health of the District through approving annual budgets, and representing the community and reflecting those community values and priorities in the governance of the District.

Shortly after Interwoven's acquisition of Optimost in November 2007, I took over responsibility for the product marketing team for all of Interwoven's web content management and optimization products and solutions. In addition, the product marketing team had primary responsibility for solution messaging, content creation for collateral and public relations, event speaking, and sales training.
