My focus at Indiana was in visual communications. I was interested in documentary photography and studied at The Salt Center, in Portland, Maine as well. In Bloomington, I worked for the Indiana Daily Student.
Japanese Language, History, Economics & Culture June 1992 — June 1994
My two year stint in Tokyo, Japan was terrific. I lived with a Japanese family who spoke absolutely no English. That simply meant I had to quickly learn to comprehend and speak Japanese to survive. It was an exhilarating and memorable experience. While I do not use Japanese on a day-to-day basis, I still remember a lot of it and look to use it in the future.
