Sergio Maistrello’s Summary

I'm a freelance journalist, self-employed and contributing writer for several italian newspapers and magazines. I wrote two books in italian language about blogs and social networks: "La parte abitata della Rete" (Tecniche Nuove, 2007) and "Come si fa un blog" (Tecniche Nuove, 2004).

Since 2006 I'm the editor-in-chief of Apogeonline (www.apogeonline.com), one of the oldest and most trusted italian webzine about technology and Internet issues. Besides the news bullettin, Apogeonline is the official site of Apogeo, one of the most important italian publishing houses in the technology shelve, now part of Feltrinelli group.

I'm part of the organizing staff of State of the Net (www.stateofthenet.it), an aim-to-be international conference about the Internet and society, whose first edition was held in february 2008 in Udine, in the north-est of Italy.

Since 2000, I'd been part for almost five years of the editorial staff of Internet News, a monthly magazine wich used to sell up to 100.000 copies nationwide in Italy.

I've been a contributing writer for newspapers and magazines since 1988. I'm a member of the italian Journalists Association (Ordine dei Giornalisti) since 1990.
