Sebastian Prooth’s Summary

Sebastian Prooth is a writer, producer, director, editor and musician who from a very early age set his sights on working in the entertainment business. While growing up Sebastian became an avid enthusiast of Star Trek: The Next Generation still on the air at the time. Over the next decade Sebastian would dabble in prop and model production, motion control, set design, cinematography and anything else to do with television or film production.

In 2005, Sebastian started to write for publication on his blog and soon after began podcasting and honing his skills as an audio editor under the supervision of producer and industry veteran Joe Klein. Soon, Sebastian began interviewing crew members of the Star Trek production team as well as actors who had appeared on the series.

In 2007, Sebastian Co-wrote two books and worked on a few small feature film projects. Later that year Sebastian co-created Star Trek: The Continuing Mission with friend and fellow producer, Andy Tyrer. The new series, an internet radio drama, launched on Christmas Day 2007 with the help of CNN.com

Sebastian is currently one of three Executive Producers of Star Trek: The Continuing Mission and functions as the show’s primary show-runner. In addition to producing, Sebastian co-wrote the pilot “Ghost Ship” and has continued creative influence on the series.
