What I have done:
I graduated cum laude from Lincoln University with a bachelors of Science in Computer Information Systems with an emphasis in End User Support. I was recognized by the Technology Department for two consecutive years as a recipient of the Outstanding Scholar Performance Award. This award is only given to students with a cumulative major gpa of 3.0. I completed a two year internship with Sprint which followed with an offer from the newly merged Sprint/Nextel. After accepting, I was hired into the New College Hire Development Program which gives an new hire an opportunity to be rotated into different organizations within Sprint's Network Service. Since being hired, I have worked in Network Operations, Network Engineering and Network Development.
What I am doing:
Currently working for Sprint in Network Development. In the testing environment, I am responsible for all software installation/upgrades on MiLife Application Server. This includes producing tests procedures executed and documenting Method of Procedure (MOPs) and releasing documentation to Sprint’s Production Team.
What I am interested in doing:
To further my career, I plan on returning back to an institute for a MBA.
Something I should say:
INROADs has helped businesses gain greater access to diverse talent by developing young talented minority through placement of students in internships at many of US top corporations, firms and organizations. Sprint has taken the responsibility by not only recruitment from INROADS but recruiting large numbers of minorities with different ethnicities and backgrounds. Not only am I proud to represent a corporation who’s success is driven by a cohesive demographic group, I am also honored to have the chance make a difference in the work force which will allow more minorities like myself to have the opportunities to succeed
