Scott Soutter is a salvage diver and seasoned boilermaker with over 27 years of experience. Scott Soutter began his boiler making career in 1981 at Transfield (Qld) Pty Ltd in Mt. Isa Mines, where he worked as an apprentice boilermaker for 4 years. Scott Souter left the Mt. Isa in 1985 to work as a boilermaker at several shipbuilding plants within Australia. As a boilermaker, Scott Soutter helped to repair, construct, and refit commercial, pleasure crafts, and fishing trawlers. In 1987, Scott Soutter worked for mining giant CRA, in Papua New Guinea doing maintenance work in there copper mine, constructing steel beams, pipes, and structural frames. He then returned to Australia were he commenced training as a Carpenter in so doing worked for several prominent home construction companies, including, Wright Developments, and Dwyer Quality Homes, helping with home construction and renovation. In 1993 he received his carpentry qualifications and has continued to use those skills working in many areas around the world. In 2001, Scott Soutter accepted a position as a Company Representative / Shareholders Representative and operations manager, working for a company that salvages shipwrecks. In his role, Scott Soutter completed not only his corporate representative responsibility. He worked in the hands on rolls of repair and maintenance work on the barges and salvage vessels involved in that project, also taking part in survey and salvage dives. Challenging work, salvage diving requires the diver to have a skilful knowledge of diving, and salvaging techniques. Among his various responsibilities, Scott Soutter was asked to survey ships and determin if salvage was possible. In addition, Mr. Soutter was also hired to supervise salvage missions and the crewmembers assigned to the project. Scott Soutter worked as a salvage diver, boilermaker, and supervisor intermittently until 2005, when he returned to Australia to the home construction industry.
