Chief Altruistic Officer and Founder, Warthog Racing Academy (scott@kandel.org)
Greater Los Angeles Area
The whole Warthog Racing Academy (WRA) thing started out as hobby of mine several years ago.
As a volunteer and charitable organization defined to help the sport of Supercross/Motocross grow with integrity and through innovation, it's been interesting and rewarding to interact with the diverse set of individuals that comprise the sport.
We are truly gratified that we can help privateers -- the professional racers who often toil in obscurity -- and look forward to assisting these unsung heroes of the sport in an unprecedented manner.
Supercross/Motocross is by far the greatest sport in the world and we are working hard to make it the motorsport by which all other motorsports are measured. Special thanks to MDK, Live Nation, and the NPG for supporting us on our journey.
At Deloitte, over the years I consulted with hundreds of companies in many industries. The projects I participated in or managed crossed the entire spectrum of information technology, from writing bit-level code to running entire IT departments. Deloitte provided a rock solid platform from which I learned the various disciplines of running a professional services firm.
You can contact me directly at (213) 268-2659 or at scott@kandel.org. I have an OPEN policy of accepting LinkedIn invitations.
WRA-related skills: Not-for-Profit fund raising, volunteer management, logistics management, sponsorship marketing & contract negotiation, athlete coaching

There are some that call me the Santa Claus of motocross . . . Here's the story in a nutshell. It has something to do with the fact that fans and others contribute money to the cause to help the noble but always resource disadvantaged privateer racers. I basically get to allocate the funds and resources to the riders so they usual smile when they see me coming . . . . hence the Santa reference . . . I bring good tidings to all . . .
Warthog Racing (WR) is a unique company formed to better the sport of motocross.
WR is comprised of two distinct entities:
(A) The Warthog Racing Academy (WRA), run as a not-for-profit. It was created to conceptualize, fund, and execute meaningful programs aimed directly at supporting the privateer racers. WRA is run by Jon Kandel and assisted by Scott Kandel and many others -- all these workers are volunteers to the cause.
(B) Warthog Enterprises (WE)

At Edgile, I support the founder, Don Elledge, in chasing national projects. I do this part time, primarily to sharpen my saw and not let my consulting skills get too rusty. Don's a cool cat and gives me tons of flexibility. Long live Edgile!!

As a consultant at Deloitte I saw it all -- from the boardrooms to the basements (literally) of companies of all shapes and sizes. In general, it was a lot of fun; the clients I worked with were great and so were most of my colleagues.
