I consider myself extremely lucky, in that I get up every morning and go to a job that I actually enjoy doing.
It's odd when you think about it - because "software developer" is a relatively new type of job. In the 1970's, software developers were actually professional engineers - you needed to understand mechanics and electricity as much as logic and design. Now here I sit, in front of a computer all day, rearranging little 1's and 0's.
I enjoy creating things. I can't see myself ever not creating something. I program. I write books. I blog. I create web sites.
I'm not all work. I eat. I rest. I read. I play. I laugh.
