Experienced IT Project Manager and Consultant
Canterbury, United Kingdom
I spent 10+ years in the pharmaceutical industry in project management and related roles. During this time I worked on projects ranging from the design and roll out of a phase I management system to managing one of the industry's largest clinical trial systems. It was also in the pharmaceutical sector where I cut my teeth on the design and deployment of web based social tools, a.k.a Web 2.0 and Enterprise 2.0.
More recently I've been operating across many functions and sectors on both the training side and development of Web 2.0 tools for business. As part of this work I often speak at industry events and host workshops / masterclasses for industry executives.
In addition I'm pleased to be representing a fantastic information and knowledge management platform called Knowledge Plaza. I helped bring the product to market working with Whatever Company who are based near Brussels, Belgium.
These last few years have been an exciting ride seeing me move from internal project management to more external consultative and sales focused roles. From seeing how business works from within and now externally I'm able to add even more value to assignments.

My educational achievements include a Higher National Diploma (HND) in Business and IT, a BTEC GNVQ Advanced Certificate in Business and IT, a Diploma in Marketing and an award for Business Student of the Year in 1996 for a BTEC First Diploma in Business Studies. I am also PRINCE2 (Projects In Controlled Environments) qualified.
I'm passionate about helping businesses explore and exploit the opportunities presented by web 2.0. Whether it be the use of social software to improve collaboration and communication or applying the cultural aspects of some of the most successful and inspirational movements we are seeing on the internet.
