Graphic designer and educator, Scott Fisk has taught at Memphis College of Art and American Intercontinental University, and currently teaches at Samford University. He received his Bachelor of Fine Arts in graphic design from Henderson State University, and graduated first in his class from Memphis College of Art with a Master of Fine Arts in computer art. An expert in web design, typography, motion graphics, and multimedia, Scott launched his career in graphic design in 1994 at NetM Communications, an interactive company with customers in Canada, Australia, and Europe, as well as in America. His motion graphic works have since been featured on major television networks in the United States, Australia, and Japan, and his work is part of permanent collections both in numerous galleries and in such museums as the National Achieves. Scott served in Iraq as an Army Reserve photojournalist, often embedding as a photographer during combat operations with American and Iraqi units. Recently selected as a Road Scholar by the Alabama Humanities Organization, Scott is an active member of the American Institute of Graphic Arts (AIGA), and serves as both board member and educational chair of the Birmingham chapter. Scott enjoys traveling with his wife Timarie, who shares his peculiar interest in antique printing processes, broadsides, and other printed ephemera.
