Worked my ass off at a bunch of start-ups. Finally got tired of working so hard for others, so I started my own website. It started taking off, so I sold it to CNET and came along with it. Built up the CNET Entertainment division from one site to the current portfolio of GameSpot, GameFAQs, Game Rankings, Metacritic, TV,com, MP3.com and FilmSpot.com.

Wrote VB code for backend reporting systems for a least cost routing system called PhoneMiser. This is when I started learning HTML as well.
(Privately Held; 51-200 employees; Real Estate industry)
January 1990 — January 1999 (9 years 1 month)
Started as a Real Estate appraiser, then learned the language MUMPS to fix some problems with the existing mass apprasial software. Re-wrote the entire system in VB 3.0 in Windows 3.1, eventually moving to VB 4.0 and Windows 95. Software is still in use today by many, many municipalities across the country. This is still what I am the most proud of in my career.
