Popego is an Internet company building AI technology aimed at discovering user interests based on the semantic content of their web activity. The product features a web service aggregator and a recommendation engine. The aggregator allows users to gather their public information (available via web services APIs or plain HTML documents) in a single place. The recommendation engine provides a more meaningful web experience by finding those daily gems that are relevant to each user according to his or her interests. Following the semantic web trends, Popego is also developing tools for semantic analysis of web content. Try Popego at http://www.popego.com
Popego was finalist at world class conferences such as:

- Designing, implementing and testing classes in all different tiers of a MVC-oriented web application
- Programming text processing algorithms for the semantic analysis of web documents
- Providing services (including AJAX APIs) to retrieve model data
- Programming client-side interaction in Javascript
- Coping with high scalability and availability requirements such as web servers having 7500 requests per second
- Tackling the engineering challenges of building a large-scale web application that satisfies quality attributes such as: efficiency, modularity, reusability, mantainability and extensibility
