My career spans over 20 years (mostly in publishing) where I have consistently enabled strategic growth. I use the term “strategic growth” because I strongly believe strongly that the right kind of growth comes only from the right kind of opportunities and deals. Margin, focus, and the ability to deliver on promises are hallmarks of the deals I believe in, and strive to achieve.
The intersection of technology and content is where I have focused my energies for the past 15 years and as a result I have been fortunate enough to help the publishing industry move into the digital age. I regularly speak and write on topics that help content providers understand the opportunities and risks of the digital world.
My experience for the last several years has been at Oxford University Press where I have gained invaluable experience in institutional database publishing, online journals, educational and children's publishing, the vast world of English Language Teaching and dictionaries. I have also worked extensively on a global level working with local offices and partners across Asia, Europe and the Indian Subcontinent.
Past jobs include Executive Vice President at The Princeton Review, Senior Editor at Little, Brown & Co., Acquiring Editor and Sales Representative at FA Davis and retail sales at Barnes and Noble. I have also run my own consulting firm where I worked for and consulted with publishers, colleges and universities, software companies, and non-profit organizations to help them grow while maintaining fiscal discipline.
