Intern at Boston Productions
Greater Boston Area
A Massachusetts native, Sam grew up in Marion, attending high school just south of Boston at Milton Academy. Arriving at Vassar College in 2005, he fully explored his interests in the arts, whether through drama or film. He has been a part of student as well as departmental drama productions, helping build and rig sets for a variety of shows (Quills, Into the Woods, Macbeth) and designing others (Betty the Yeti). During his first two years at Vassar, Sam began exploring film for the first time, acting in lead roles in two senior film projects (The Null Set, Johnny Hearts & The Fourth Miracle). He soon declared a major in Film, spending the summer and fall of 2007 in introductory film production (16mm) before travelling to the Sydney Film School in Sydney, Australia in 2008 where he further delighted in all aspects of production (narrative and documentary). Returning to Vassar for his senior year, Sam continued to take classes in film as well as other areas such as psychology. Outside of class, he wrote, shot, directed, acted, and edited a thirty-minute feature (Brazen) during the fall of 2008, screening the final product in February 2009. In his last semester, Sam enrolled in a senior narrative production class, working on a twenty minute narrative based on a fellow student's script (Dot) as sound recordist and sound editor. Sam is excited for the challenges ahead of him as he leaves Vassar and steps into the dynamic and robust entertainment industry, with interests mainly in post-production (editing) and production design (art department).
