He is a graduate of Rice University in Houston, TX in 1989 with a B.A. in mathematical economics and a minor in art history and managerial studies, as well as a recipient of the GTE All Conference Academic Team in 1989. After graduation, he spent two years in the minor leagues with the New York Yankees farm system. He and his wife currently live in Lodi, CA with their two children.

    As project manager, he was responsible to manage, operate and maintain a $2M budget for the business established in 1973. He was responsible for day-to-day operations of the business, including payroll, banking, accounts receivable, accounts payable, ordering and receiving.
