I am passionate about helping businesses (B2B & B2C) use the web effectively. As Online Business Development Manager at a $120 million Business to Business (B2B) media company, I planed, managed, and implemented all strategic initiatives for Internet revenue. After instituting corporate website design standards with usability and search engine optimization (SEO) best practices, traffic increased by 90% on the flagship publication website within 10 weeks. Corporate online profit increased by 435% and online revenue by 47% (YTD) from the previous year through the creation of new online products, implementation of website usability, training of the sales force, and development of online business opportunities. With over ten years of experience in the Internet/New Media industry, I provide a unique combination of experience in technology, management, innovation, customer relations, business development, and strategic planning.

• Through planning of strategic initiatives to increase Internet revenue and create new business opportunities, I created new online products, designed custom advertising packages, and marketed online products to sales staff and potential customers.
• I developed an Internet sales support group to increase Internet profits by increasing sales awareness of online products and capabilities, resolving technical questions, and delivering superior
online products.

May 2006 — May 2008 (2 years 1 month)
• I instituted corporate website design standards with usability and search engine optimization (SEO) best practices, which increased Internet traffic by 90% on the flagship publication website within 10
weeks.
• Corporate online profit increased by 435% and online revenue by 47% (YTD) from the previous year through the creation of new online products, training of the sales force, streamlining of product
deployment and development of online business opportunities.
• Increasing the awareness among our sales staff of Integrated Media was vital to increasing Internet profits. To educate our sales staff about our online products and their capabilities, I wrote an online training course, created a sales-facing website (Gizmo), and produced a quarterly e-newsletter.
• Increasing customer awareness of online products was also crucial for increasing Internet profits, so I designed an advertiser website to market our online products (portfolio.bnpmedia.com).

• Responsible for daily operations of all websites and web systems, I architected custom software applications to display and enter content on the websites (content display application and content
management system).
• Facing legacy software expiration, I facilitated the migration and redesign of all our publication websites from Vignette version 6 to Vignette version 7 in only 40 days to optimize content entry and
standardize online product implementation.
• To increase Internet profits, I added web and software development positions, which enabled the creation of online products in-house.

May 2004 — October 2004 (6 months)
• When I first started, website change requests were an absolute chaos of phone calls, emails and angry publishers. To institute some order, I implemented a ticket system to organize and prioritize workflow, and I standardized development procedures across publication websites.
• Because our competitors were touting contextual ads, I directed the creation and implementation of a custom contextual ad serving system.

I created, debugged and edited code to run nationally known eCommerce sites such as Eddie Bauer and 1-800-FLOWERS. To provide a client with accurate statistics, I wrote code to capture those statistics from their website and send them in an email each night. Providing website visitors with “fun” products is an important tactic to increase return visits. One “fun” product that I devised was a set of virtual bouquets that visitors could send to friends and family via email. By writing code to display its online courses, I contributed to the efforts of a collaborative national university website that was seeking to break new ground in the provision of online education. I created a poetry database search engine, which enabled users to search for poems by title, author or keywords.
