I have a little more than 12 years of diversified experience in the areas of pooled-campus recruitment, business development, branding, media relations among other activities.
Quite a multi-tasking guy, I have spent the last seven years of my career with academic institutions and led teams to recruit more than 10,000 students not just from the institutions I worked for but also from those in and around Mumbai, Navi Mumbai, Thane and neighbouring districts. I did initiate and implement some of the largest joint-campus drives in the region for multi-national IT as well as non-IT companies along with my team.
Of late, I am focusing on starting some ventures in the field of education like a primary school for the economically backward with corporate and individual sponsorship; and a venture for free career counselling (mentoring) using the social networking sites for young engineering and management graduates.

Oriental Institute of Management, Vashi offers Management courses from the University of Mumbai as well as an autonomous programme approved by AICTE.
I am in charge of campus recruitment of the students who have graduated in 2008, 2009 and those who will graduate in 2010. Opportunities have been identified and some recruitment of the students who were not placed due to the economic slowdown has been accomplished around September 09.
The current focus is on the placement of Ops students from the 2010 batch as well as the Finance and HR students.
My accompishment here includes starting an inovative programme called "Meet the Industry" which brings in industry heads to the institution to share their personal growth stories, caselets, industry requirements from fresh graduates, among other things in a very informal and interactive session. That apart, I am leading the live projects from the industry for the students of the autonomous programme.

I was in charge of Campus Recruitments primarily for the following institutions / colleges: (1) Pillai's Institute of Management Studies & Research; (2) Pillai's Institute of Information Technology, Engineering, Media Studies & Research; (3) Pillai's College of Arts, Commerce and Science; and (4) Pillai's Polytechnic.
That apart, having been a specialist in Joint Campus Drives for various companies, I have been indirectly in charge of engineering placements for a couple of other colleges not associated with Mahatma Education Society.
Overall, as I look back in the last 6 years, I enjoyed my experience as the Head of Campus Recruitment and it would be great if I can contribute back in anyway to my former organization.

Wigan & Leigh taught me how to live life in Mumbai. I am indebted to Mrs. Renu Kapoor who was my Director then in Mumbai for teaching me multi-tasking and how to work in a B-School. After my job at WLC, I got married to my wife and started a new life in Mumbai from a scratch. Thank you Mrs. Kapoor for everything you taught me and for enabling me to network successfully though I have a long way to go.

I coined a term for us 'expats' at Chaudhary Group: we called ourselves "paid tourists" as we loved what we did and loved rural Nepal very much.
