Editor, Writer, Consultant
Greater New York City Area
I am a writer, editor, and curriculum consultant, with a decade of experience in developing educational materials. Clients include Holt, Rinehart and Winston; McDougal Littell; Glencoe McGraw-Hill; Classroom, Inc.; and Teachers & Writers Collaborative.
My current focus is on graphic literature as an educational tool. I write and edit comics for Dojo Graphics, a studio started by me and my husband, cartoonist Josh Neufeld. Dojo Graphics specializes in story development (both original content and adaptations) of comics in multiple mediums. As a separate-and-together team, we have created motion comics for television, film, and the Internet, for clients such as ABC and Lifetime. (http://www.dojographics.net/)
I also offer professional development for teachers and administrators in incorporating comics into a traditional classroom curriculum. As a consultant, I work with publishers and other industry professionals, as well as independent creators interested in reaching the educational market.
I am interested in expanding my network of publishing professionals and in new professional opportunities.
