Sanjana is a Senior Researcher at the Centre for Policy Alternatives (CPA) and Head of ICT and Peacebuilding at InfoShare. He is a Fellow of the Center for Information Technology and Dispute Resolution, at the University of Massachusetts, Boston and Special Advisor to the ICT4Peace Foundation, based in Geneva, Switzerland.
Sanjana created and is the Editor of Groundviews (www.groundviews.org), a pioneering and award winning online citizen journalism initiative with content on peace, governance, democracy and human rights that mainstream media cannot and will not publish in Sri Lanka today. He publishes and speaks widely on media development, conflict resolution and using the Internet and web for peacebuilding, both locally and internationally.
In addition to encouraging his 2-year-old son’s budding interest in his Blackberry, GQ and The Economist - not necessarily in that order - Sanjana loves travelling, a good read and Sri Lanka.
