We were a sales and marketing consultancy that was founded in San Francisco and eventually opened an office in Singapore. We advised small business owners on sales channel development and sales recruiting efforts to achieve maximum growth and client satisfaction with emphasis on sales growth. We took an active role in temporarily filling various sales and marketing positions within their firms until the business could support a full-time person or an appropriate candidate could be indentified, recruited and trained.

We manufactured and sold commercial flooring products to Fortune 500s based in Asian markets. Our products were specified by the largest international architects and designers in San Francisco (Gensler, HOK, Studios) and other international cities. I was responsible for developing a sales and marketing team in East Asian cities to develop our client base. We sold our products through a network of dealers that we hand picked and trained. The dealers provided shipping, importation, installation and maintenance services. My area of responsibility included: China, S Korea, Taiwan, Philippines, Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, Brunei, and Thailand.

I loved college, despite the course work! I met more great people and learned how little I had been previously exposed to people of various cultures and beliefs. It was a terrific eye-opening experience. During college, I double majored, paid every penny back to my father and the lending institutions that lent me funds, and had 33 interviews prior to graduating (I started interviewing in my Fall semester). Each Spring break I lined-up painting work to help me pay for my debts and feel that this approach, while stressful, did serve to make me more appreciative and responsible.
