Sandy Alexander’s Summary

Sandy Alexander is a Philadelphia-based graphic designer, artist and entrepreneur.

After leaving a corporate job in 2005, Alexander launched Dessa Lea Productions as a venue for various graphic and interior design projects. During this time, she was also developing an exciting, first-of-its-kind women's fashion accessory called Bucklette®.

Launched in October 2008, Bucklette®, is an innovative product that functions as a hands-free alternative to a purse. Designed to hold a tube of lipstick, key, credit card and ID, the Bucklette is available in two versatile styles: As a belt buckle with a belt and as a compact clip-on.

In addition to introducing unique new accessories to the market, Dessa Lea Productions is actively involved in assisting other companies with building brands and marketing their products and services.

Prior to launching her firm, Alexander (formerly Thomas) was Creative Director, Senior Director of Creative Services at Comcast for five and a half years.

While at Comcast corporate headquarters, Alexander assembled and managed an internal creative team, executed and oversaw print, web, interactive and interior design projects, and ultimately managed the transition of the group into an independent agency.
