Worked with a PhD student looking at problems in tablet computing. Ran experiments with users aged 18-25 and users aged 65+ to study and improve menu interactions in tablet computers. A related paper has been submitted to and accepted by ASSETS 08, with Karyn Moffatt and Joanna McGrenere.

Created new help file templates, updated and wrote user help pages for four applications (three existing, one in development). Implemented internationalization (i18n) standards for a web-based vehicle tracking application. Managed primary language files for translations.

Worked for the Department of Computer Science. Coordinated the setup of a new lab for group-pro ject-based HCI courses. Managed ordering and deployment of $40 000 of lab equipment, computer hardware and software. Maintained project schedules, balanced the budget.

Worked in the S.P.I.N. Research Group. Designed interface mock-ups for a GUI to monitor and calibrate sensor readings on a mechanized user data acquisition device. Implemented a framework using Java and Swing.
