Sandra Bilokonsky’s Summary
Born in Long Beach, California in 1971. I grew up mainly on the West Coast of California and some in the Midwest, primarily the state of Iowa. I come from a family of artists in their own right. Primary living with my biological father, I grew up in the world of his business designing race cars, street rods and vintage automobiles. Not knowing that my biological mother who created a world of her own abstract art and worked in theatre and as a film extra, actor and make-up artist.
I started creating art in 1992 after the birth of my daughter, but took a break after the birth of my son in 1994. On and off thru the years I created but did not let my emotions unleash. Once again I took breaks until 1996 and then in the year 2001, my life changed. After attending a art salon event in Lakewood, Ohio, my creative bug unleashed, and has yet withered away. I have never formally trained as an artist nor taken any traditional art classes, however have given art classes to others. My art is basically what my brain is telling me to place on paper, canvas or other mediums, yes like I said before what fuels my art is emotion.
On the graphic and web design of the house, I feel as if I have been doing it as long as I can remember. In high school (we are speaking mid 1980's folks), I was active in Newspaper and Yearbook- mainly designing layouts. I started later in my senior year working with graphics using Paint of all programs. I continue my my graphics and layout design working in the public relations field, which I was a lead promoter for three night clubs. After leaving that field I worked as a graphic designer for a small t-shirt firm, about that time is when I landed in the land of coding websites, that was 1996. I have off and on worked as a freelancer for small business, personal and charity web sites. I have also designed and edited photos/banners/business card and business logos.
