ABN AMRO was acquired by the consortium of Fortis, RBS and Santander in October 2007. Fortis announced the sale of its interest in ABN AMRO (RFS Holdings) to the Dutch State on 3 October 2008. This share is now referred to as N-Share and encompasses BU Netherlands, BU private Clients and ID&JG.
The Markets NL Programme was established by N-share in November 2008. The goal of the programme is to build up a Global Markets organization from scratch covering staff, infrastructure and applications. The IRD, Exotic IRD, Commodities, Weather and Inflation project is part of the Markets NL program. The project has the vision to rebuild and redesign the operating model and technology infrastructure with the objective of optimising the commercial position, operational quality, control and cost of ownership. -

Spectrum is the strategic program for Fortis Global Markets to replace their existing platform for front office and back office for Derivatives, FX&MM and Fixed Income with packaged solutions (Calypso and Murex). The overall program has a worldwide scope with the initial phases starting in Belgium and is planned over a timeframe of 3.5 years.
After supporting Fortis with the overall setup and planning of the program as well as delivering the Global Design phase, Accenture was asked to also support the system implementation projects for FX Derivatives (on Murex) and Interest Rate Derivatives (on Calypso).
Fortis Spectrum has won the FY09 FS Client Excellence Award for FS Gallia in the SI&T category! -
