Executive Director at GRE Consulting and Non-Profit Organization Management Consultant
Spokane, Washington Area
I am pleased to provide consulting and facilitation services to faith-based organizations that are truly seeking to discern Divine Guidance and act from integrity to bring healing to a wounded world. The Appreciative Inquiry model provides a powerful framework for revitalizing shared vision, reframing mission language that has become tired and worn, and identifying ways in which the organization can more effectively serve it's purposes.
‘Faith-based’ is a word that has been soiled by the politics of our time that seeks to co-opt religion to impose a coercive value system in the name of Christianity that may have little connection to an institutional heart transformed by the message of the Christ. This soiled sense of faith-based institutions leads to control and empire building. It is described in the arresting language of Mathew Fox in his latest work A New Reformation!.
Samuel Mahaffy has expertise in: facilitating, organizational assessment, grant writing and fund raising, conflict resolution, and community engagement. He brings a compassionate heart and gentle loving spirit to work that provides hope to organizations that have lost their way.
