Chosen as 3rd Asst. Scoutmaster from Delta Area Council, Greenville, MS on the contingent to the Boy Scout National Jamboree in 1981, Fort A.P. Hill, VA with 29,765 scouts in attendance.

Completed the honorable Wood Badge Advanced Leadership Training Course in 1989. Wood Badge is Scouting's premier training course. The founder of Scouting, Lord Baden-Powell designed this course in 1919 so that Scouters could learn the skills and methods of Scouting. It is first and foremost, learning by doing.
