Gilbert has over 7 years of experience working across the Americas on research and commercial applications with industry heavy weights like Unisys, Intel and most recently with interactive agency, Schematic.
Gilbert started as a Lab Operator at the Costa Rica Institute of Technology and moved from there to be an intern at Unisys Corp working in the automation of biometric documents. At Intel he worked on the automation of robotic-driven manufacturing and co-designed Shrek Fx, a research effort that ended up as the base framework for several company wide web-portals.
Later on Gilbert joined HP and AvVenta where he worked as Technical Project Manager and Software Architect. During his time at Schematic, Gilbert served as Solutions Architect for clients such as Time Warner, Target and Microsoft, where he had the opportunity to explore in detail the power of alternative user experiences.
Currently Gilbert teaches a course on Human Computer Interaction at Universidad Latina in Costa Rica while at the same time collaborates as Technical Evangelist for Artinsoft Research where he works with the Aggiorno team helping drive productivity to web developers through the use of automated code transformation tools.
