I have over seven years of marketing experience working with companies in various markets: high tech, wireless, online, and music industry. I am currently the Social Media Manager at AOTA. I manage the online presence and communications of the association in the Web 2.0 world and leverage sites like facebook and myspace to increase membership and two way communication. I'm also a social media, marketing, technology consultant to SMB's and startups.
Previously I worked at the CURRENT group. The leading provider of Broadband over Powerline (BPL) solutions and Smart Grid services. At CURRENT I was part of the team that marketed, branded and introduced the SmartGrid product to a relatively new industry.
Prior to Current, from 2005-2007 I was at NexTone, a VoIP software company where I was part of the marketing team that took the company through its global expansion and it’s re-branding in June 2006 which successfully resulted in the company becoming the leader in VoIP session border controllers technologies. As a result the company also won a number of awards.
I have a Bachelors degree from the Robert H. Smith School of Business at the University of Maryland in Management Sciences and Statistics with specialization in Information Technology and minors in Entrepreneurship and Marketing.
