I use computers since 1984 and I have proven work experience in the IT Security industry since 1993.

This experience includes a broad range of positions and activities:

★ PRIVATE SECTOR: I'm currently the Communications Manager at Future Time, the Italian distributor of ESET (NOD32 antivirus, ESS) and Agnitum (Outpost line) security products, though my actual duties make me closer to a Chief Operations Officer. Previous experiences include entrepreneurship roles with two start-ups and consulting activities for several large corporations (eg. Telespazio, Finmeccanica group).

★ GOVERNMENT: I've been a personal advisor to the Italian Minister of Communications for more than three years. I've also been a member of several governmental workshops and committees, including the 'Internet e Minori' committee, for the protection of children on-line.

★ JOURNALISM: I wrote seventy articles for various computer magazines, of which about forty for the main Italian computer magazine (PC Professionale). I currently publish Italy's most accessed IT Security information site at www.SicurezzaInformatica.it

★ AWARENESS RAISING: on several occasions I spoke at conferences on computer security and on the on-line protection of children.

★ RESEARCH: In the beginning of the nineties I conducted several independent anti-virus tests (you can read a comment on that research in the following paper located at the NIST site http://csrc.nist.gov/nissc/1996/papers/NISSC96/paper019/final.PDF ). I'm also a reporter for the WildList Organization (www.wildlist.org) since 1995.

I speak four languages: Italian (mother tongue), English (fluent), German (fluent), French (good) and some Russian.

I constantly look for contacts to broaden my network in the IT Security industry.

Future Time is an Italian software distribution company (~ 20 employees) managing several award-winning security programs: ESET products line (eg. NOD32) and Agnitum's Outpost-line. I'm the director of communications & operations, I have four direct reports and I supervise/manage about 500K Euros of yearly expenses.

My top priorities are:

► to increase the efficiency of company operations
► to reduce costs
► to ensure higher attention from the media

My main achievements so far:

★ I designed and enforced six internal procedures that streamlined operations in the following areas: technical support, administration, accounting, HR
★ I reduced 75K Euros of costs (15%) already the first year, from purchased materials and higher advertisement value
★ I increased the overall attention of the Italian media on our products, with reviews and articles on Italy's main newspapers
