Samantha L. Beinhacker is a strategic visionary with 20 years experience working with leading organizations to support the field of social entrepreneurship and social innovation. Through the boutique management consultancy firm she founded, Beinhacker has developed strategic business plans, feasibility studies for new business or programmatic development, market research, and operational planning for philanthropic institutions, universities, national and international non-profit organizations, and corporations.

Foundation and charitable clients include The Pew Charitable Trusts, The Rockefeller Foundation, The Goldman Sachs Foundation, the New York Regional Association of Grantmakers, New Jersey SEEDS, YWCA of New York City, and the Verizon Foundation. A published author, she is the co-editor of “Generating and Sustaining Nonprofit Earned Income: A Guide to Successful Enterprise Strategies” (Jossey Bass: 2004), author of the curriculum on Social Enterprise taught at the Foundation Center in the US, and numerous journal articles on the field of social entrepreneurship.

Ms. Beinhacker has also implemented many of the ambitious growth plans she designed. Most recently she served as the Program Lead for the Skoll World Forum at Oxford University’s Skoll Centre for Social Entrepreneurship, curating the thematic content for the largest premier convening of social entrepreneurs from around the globe. Before moving to London for this role, Ms. Beinhacker spent 6 years as the co-Director of the Yale School of Management / Goldman Sachs Partnership on Nonprofit Ventures where she educated non-profits about income generation and helped procure seed funding to launch the enterprise ventures.

Her motto is “carpe diem” and she attempts to live everyday teaching that lesson to her three young children.
