email: tantmieux@verizon.net -
feel free to email me to connect or talk about work. I'd love to hear from you.
At present, I am under contract to work on a full-length book about author and photographer Lewis Carroll for a well-known publishing house based out of NYC and London that is due to be published in 2008.
I have worked in publishing in some form for my entire career, whether in traditional book and magazine publshing (i.e, Conde Nast Publications, The Atlantic Monthly) and then to books at David R. Godine, freelance for Houghton Mifflin, Little Brown, The Museum of Fine Arts, Boston, Harvard University Press, Farrar, Straus & Giroux, etc.
I then moved onto medical work and worked a lot for Harvard University and helped build out the Intelihealth.com site that is now owened by Aetna Insurance. Other medical work includes Mass. General Hospital Neuroscience Department, Harvard University Publishing and MIT Publishing and other biotech and health sites.
Comptuter & Telecom Experience - I have built several large sites on my own but worked in telecom and in the IT department of the country's largest telecom firm, Verizon, where i was Chief Content Officer and developed ALL online collateral for our lead application ("iobi"). I also managed several large sections of our Home page, Verizon.com. I should note that I also have lots of e-commerce and advertising experience with user manuals and the overall user experience.
I have also worked for large financial corporations, such as Fidelity, and find that good writing, regardless of the industry, will carry through almost any vertical market provided the raw data is reliable. For this reason, I have worked successfully for biotech, financial firms, e-commerce, high-tech writing sites, as well as teach and write books, both fiction and non-fiction (published) as well as many articles.
excellent references and portfolios.
