President of Alcatraz Media
Austin, Texas Area
I started Alcatraz Media in 1999, and continue to operate the business on a daily basis. It started as an accidental company. The story is too long to post here, but it is a funny one.
I like to travel and photograph vacation destinations and tourist attractions around the world. As a registered travel agent, I am able to work while I enjoy tours and activities in places like the Grand Canyon, Las Vegas, New York, Washington DC, San Francisco, Miami, and Hawaii, to name a few.

First Communications became the largest producer of trade shows in North America (in terms of number of events), and operated a unique network of 1,000 Internet sites. The company was sold to The Washington Post in January 2001. I assisted with the creation and maintenance of the sites, which generated over 1 million unique user visits per month at the time of sale.
